Yesterday, we celebrated the successful completion of Sabaragamuwa Social Sciences and Languages Studentsโ€™ Annual Symposium 2024 (10th SSLSAS). This yearโ€™s symposium was organised by the Department of Languages, Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.

The symposium's success was a collaborative effort of all the academic staff members of the faculty, spearheaded by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, Dr. Rohan Abeywickrama. His exemplary leadership is highly commendable and inspired us all to continue the symposium despite the challenging times.

The organising committee is immensely grateful to Prof. Thusitha Abeythunga and Dr. Chandra Embuldeniya, who graced the occasion as the Keynote Speaker and Guest of Honour, respectively. The knowledge, insightful ideas, and innovative perspectives they shared with the participants undoubtedly left a lasting impression. Lastly, the organisers extend their heartfelt congratulations to the 18SSL/SST students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages for their innovative research work, accomplished with such vigor and integrity.
