Inauguration Ceremony & Orientation Program — MA/PGD in English and Education – 2026
We are pleased to share the highlights of the Inauguration Ceremony and Orientation Program of the MA/PGD in English and Education – 2026 program, held on 14th March 2026 at the Main Auditorium, Faculty of Geomatics, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
The occasion was elevated by the presence of the distinguished Keynote Speaker, Prof. Indira Mawella from the Department of English and Linguistics, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and Guest of Honour, Dr. Shashikala Assella from the Department of English, University of Kelaniya.
The ceremony was further enriched by the participation of Prof. HSR Rosairo, Dean – Faculty of Graduate Studies, Prof. Rohan Abeywickrama, Dean – Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, and several esteemed scholars whose presence lent great academic prestige to the occasion.
Students from across the country gathered in person at the auditorium, while our international students joined via online platforms, making this a truly inclusive and global celebration of learning.
We wish our 2026 cohort a rewarding and intellectually enriching academic journey ahead.
