Translation Students' Association in Collaboration with the Department of Languages, Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, proudly celebrated the successful launch of Sampratīti 02, the latest volume of the translated short story collection produced by the fourth-year Translation Studies undergraduates of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.

The launch ceremony was held on 24 April 2025 at the Prof. Dayananda Somasundara Auditorium and marked another significant milestone in the Translation Studies Programme’s ongoing commitment to literary translation. Since its inception in 2019, the annual book launch has continued to provide students with a valuable platform to develop their translation skills while contributing to intercultural dialogue through literature.

The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Dr. N.A. Dhammika Jayasinghe, who delivered an insightful keynote address highlighting the significance of translation as a bridge between languages, cultures, and communities. His reflections offered valuable perspectives on the creativity, dedication, and responsibility involved in the translation process.
