“හිතක් ළඟ නතර වෙන පොතක්” featured Professor Liyanage Amarakeerthi and was organized by Sociology undergraduates of the Department of Social Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the University Library under the Plaz Cafe Project.
The session was held on 5th October 2023 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages. The programme served as an intellectually enriching forum that facilitated critical literary reflection, where the book Kurulu Hadawatha was discussed in relation to its deeper social and emotional dimensions, highlighting its relevance to human relationships, cultural meanings and contemporary societal experiences, while encouraging meaningful academic dialogue among students and participants within a vibrant scholarly atmosphere.
