The Association of Geography, Department of Geography and Environmental Management, Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, successfully conducted a Tree Planting Campaign in honour of World Environment Day.
The campaign was organized as a simple yet meaningful act to promote environmental responsibility and raise awareness on the importance of protecting nature. Through this initiative, the Association highlighted the value of small actions in creating a sustainable and healthier environment for future generations.
This concept was introduced by the EcoNexus Green Club of Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine, and the Association extended its heartfelt appreciation to them for their valuable idea and inspiration.
The campaign reflected the Association’s continued commitment to environmental conservation, sustainability, and collective responsibility towards the planet.
