The Quality Assurance Cell of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages has organized a workshop titled "Workshop on Unlocking the Secrets to Effective Academic Writing". It's scheduled to be held on 17th May 2025 at 1.00 PM as an online workshop via Zoom platform. The resource person for this session will be Dr. JKC Dissanayake, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Languages, Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
We have designed this workshop to provide 4th-year undergraduate students with an understanding of academic writing principles, improved research and reporting skills, and enhanced editing and proofreading abilities. As a result of this workshop, industrial training students will be able to draft clear, organized reports that highlight their experiences and technical work, while research students will develop the skills to structure dissertations, build strong arguments, review literature, and present findings effectively.
