The Department of Languages, Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, successfully organized “Aharam – Tamil Cultural Event 2025” on 15 October 2025 at the Prof. J.W. Dayananda Somasundara Auditorium.
The event served as a vibrant platform to celebrate the richness of Tamil language, literature, arts, music, dance, and cultural traditions. Through a series of captivating performances and cultural presentations, participants highlighted the unique heritage and values embedded within Tamil culture.
Students actively engaged in a variety of cultural activities, including traditional dances, musical performances, artistic displays, and exhibitions that showcased the diversity and beauty of Tamil traditions. The event also provided an opportunity to foster intercultural understanding, mutual respect, and friendship among students from different cultural backgrounds.
