Session 6 of the Faculty Academic Mentoring Programme on โ€œResearch Foundationsโ€ was successfully conducted on 28th February 2026 from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. at the Skills Development Center, FSSL.

We are sincerely grateful to Prof. U.S. Thathsarani, Professor in Statistics, FSSL, for serving as the resource person and for delivering an insightful and engaging session that greatly benefited the participants.

We respectfully extend our sincere appreciation to the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, Prof. Rohan Abeywickrama, for his continuous leadership, guidance, and support in strengthening academic mentoring and staff development initiatives within the faculty.

Our heartfelt thanks also go to Professor G. R. S. R. C. Samaraweera, Coordinator of the Faculty Academic Mentoring Committee, and Ms. K. B. P. C. A. Wijerathne, Secretary/FMSC, for their excellent coordination and organization of the programme.

We also thank the Temporary Assistant Lecturers and Academic Supportive Staff of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages for their active participation, which contributed to the overall success of the session.
