An online workshop under the Three-Year Comprehensive MentorโMentee Action Plan (FSSLโSUSL) for newly recruited academics โ Workshop 1: Professional Conduct & Ethical Teaching โ was successfully organised by the Faculty Mentoring Steering Committee (FMSC) on 15 January 2025, from 7.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m., via Zoom.
The session was facilitated by Prof. W. M. Ariyaratne with the active participation of 25 members. The workshop featured interactive discussions on academic integrity, case studies on ethical challenges in teaching, and reflective exercises that encouraged participants to identify their own teaching ethics through real academic scenarios, fostering reflection and dialogue.
The event was graced by the participation of Rohan Abeywickrama, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, along with the Coordinator and Secretary, mentors of the FMSC/FSSL, and newly recruited academics, making the session highly engaging and impactful.
