The Sociology Association of the Department of Social Sciences successfully organized a vibrant song critique titled “Rathu Paata Hendewa” on 12th March 2026, held in collaboration with the Sabra Music Circle at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
The event created a unique space where music and sociology intersected, bringing together melodies, lyrics, and lived experiences in a meaningful cultural setting. Through a series of performances and reflective segments, the programme encouraged participants to engage with social realities, everyday experiences, and the deeper meanings embedded in artistic expression.
