Department of Information Technology, The Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages (FSSL) recently concluded a successful session in its Workshop Series
titled "Maintaining a Professional LinkedIn Account." Held on Feb 24, 2026, at venue CC1, the two-hour session (4:30 PM–6:30 PM) was specifically designed to equip undergraduates with essential digital networking skills.
Led by resource person Mr. A.S.Dilan Gomas, the workshop provided hands-on guidance on:
- Profile Optimization: Creating accounts, writing impactful headlines, and selecting professional photos.
- Network Building: Strategies for connecting with faculty, alumni, and industry professionals.
- Content & Visibility: Sharing academic achievements and managing privacy settings for maximum professional impact.
- Career Advancement: Leveraging LinkedIn for internships, research collaborations, and job opportunities.
Key Outcomes:
Participating students successfully optimized their profiles and gained a deeper understanding of LinkedIn etiquette. This initiative aims to strengthen personal branding and improve the long-term employability of our students in an increasingly digital job market.
